Film and Media submissions via FilmFreeway

These Terms operate alongside FilmFreeway’s own policies.

They also compliment the terms outlined during the submisison process, both on Film Freeway and on this website.

Submission fees for films and media via FilmFreeway cannot be refunded. Please consider carefully before completing payment on your submission order.

Our main guidelines for submissions are:

1. At least one Head of Department or credited Actor must identify as a Christian of any denomination (Producer, Director, Writer, Cinematographer, Sound Designer, Production Designer, credited Actor)

2. Any genre of production is welcome (e.g. narrative film, documentary, music video, animation, experimental film, video game demo, podcast recording, romance, action, comedy, horror etc.)

3. May have been produced at any time.

4. Must have cleared all performances, audio, and visual material for use in exhibition.

5. Submissions must have an English language audio track, or else English language embedded subtitles.

6. Selected films, must be made available to the festival organisers as a High Definition file, either by enabling download from FilmFreeway, or Vimeo, or by sending a file using a file transfer service.

6. Any entry accepted for inclusion in our programme will be available to view at our physical event, as well as in our online programme (online for 30 days after the event).

7. One free ticket to attend the event will be allocated to each selected filmmaker, including access to pre and post show receptions for professionals (worth £30.00). Selected filmmakers will also bbe given access to a discount code, to allow them to bring friends and colleagues at a reduced price.

8. Selected filmmakers may be invited to participate in a Q&A or panel discussion at the event.

9. Accepted projects may be utilised for festival promotion in future, in part, never in whole, including any still images supplied.

10. You may be asked if you would like to make your film available to church and community groups through SCFF, if your film is accepted to the festival programme.

 

Tickets via the SCFF SumUp online shop

  • We do not offer refunds on tickets once purchased. If you or a member of your party are unwell and unable to attend the event, please let the festival organisers know before the end of the festival date (10:00pm BST 18th October 2025) by emailing office@christianfilmfestival.co.uk and we will exchange Day Tickets for Online tickets.

  • If you book tickets on behalf of others, you accept these terms and conditions on behalf of all members of the party.

  • In the event of the festival being cancelled we will offer all bookers the option of a full refund on the value of your tickets. We will not be held responsible for any ancillary expenditure incurred, which includes (and is not exclusive to) travel, accommodation and food.

  • E-tickets will be issued as standard. You do not have to print these tickets, and can simply show them on your phone for us on entry.

  • All offers and discounts are subject to availability. We reserve the right to add or remove discounts at any time. Only one discount type applies per ticket. Proof of status may be requested.

  • The health, safety and wellbeing of our staff and other audience members is our priority. We reserve the right to refuse admission or ask you to leave for behaviour which we feel is likely to cause damage, injury or annoyance, or if you don’t respond to our reasonable requests. No refunds will be offered in this circumstance.

  • Sheffield Christian Film & Media Festival (Christian Film And Media Events C.I.C) cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to personal property brought in to the venue, unless caused by the negligence of our teams.

  • Tickets are non-transferable to other events and not for resale through third party sites. Reselling a ticket for profit/commercial gain will make it void and the holder may be refused entry to or removed from the venue. In addition, tickets bought from unauthorised sources will not be valid and admission to the event will not be permitted.

  • Information regarding the event is correct at the time of publication and Sheffield Christian Film & Media Festival (Christian Film And Media Events C.I.C) cannot be held responsible for late changes to the programme.
